Overall, while there was no difference in high-sensitive (hs)-CRP or pentraxin-3 between the groups, interleukin-6 (IL-6) was higher in CKD patients (2.3 [0.01–6.5] μg/L) and CKD-T patients (1.9 [0.22–25] μg/L) compared with controls (1.3 [0.57–2.5] μg/L), p = 0.03. Here, PTX3 is linked to chronic kidney disease.
