Our findings could be explained by what was published by Tyurin et al., who studied TLR2 (Arg753Gln) SNP in atopic dermatitis, that patients with the heterozygous GA genotype had higher serum levels of T helper-2 interleukins (IL-4 and IL-10) compared to controls and patients with the homozygous GG genotype. The gene discussed is IL4; the disease is atopic eczema.
