Regarding the laboratory data and in comparison to the controls, the obesity group showed significantly higher levels of FBS (p = 0.003), ESR (p < 0.001), triglycerides (TG) (p = 0.013), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels (p < 0.001), leptin (p < 0.001), TNF-α (p < 0.001), and Wnt5a (p < 0.001). Here, LEP is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
