Based on this, we propose that BCL2 protein could be considered as a second therapeutic target in NSCLC, because the overexpression of this protein has been evidenced; ABT-199 could be considered as candidate inhibitor to improve this strategy as it was evidenced its synergistic capacity in combination with anti-EGFR in cellular models of NSCLC [23].
