CLTC and infection: To further verify clathrin’s function in the virus’s life cycle, attachment and internalization assays were conducted, finding that CLTC or CLTA knockdown exerted no significant influence on PEDV attachment (Fig. 5C and E), but decreased the PEDV internalization efficiency (Fig. 5D and F), indicating that clathrin involved in viral internalization rather than attachment during PEDV infection.
