Acute leukemias with rearrangement of the Lysine Methyltransferase 2A (KMT2A, also known as MLL1) gene belong to the adverse risk group and are predominantly found in pediatric cases but also in adult acute lymphoblastic and myeloid leukemias (AML) (1, 2).
