The interaction between acute change in IL-6 and post-treatment IL-6 levels significantly predicted change in cognitive symptoms of depression (% change T3-T1), over and above the effects of age, sex, BMI or baseline/pre-treatment IL-6 levels (b = −.057, t [20] = -2.419, p = .025; model summary: R2 = .513, F [7,20] = 3.008, p = .025). This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and depressive disorder.
