MAPT and Alzheimer disease: Although the microtubule-associated protein tau (MAPT) gene was not differentially regulated (log2Fc = − 0.16; P < 0.08), we observed that MAPT antisense RNA 1 (log2Fc = 0.49; P < 0.025) and MAPT-intronic transcript 1 (MAPT-IT1) (log2Fc = 0.7; P < 0.006) were upregulated in individuals with AD compared with healthy individuals of the same age.
