GJA1 and osteoporosis: Notably, alterations in Cx43 have been associated with the development of osteoporosis.[64, 65, 66] Particular emphasis of our studies is focused on Cx43, which has been shown that plays a key role in endothelial intracellular communication and migration during angiogenesis.[67, 68, 69, 70] Our in vivo results showed a loss of Cx43 membrane expression in the bone microvessels of Psl‐treated animals following 60 days of exposure.
