VEGF-A/VEGFR-2 signaling pathway has been recognized as the most critical factor in promoting angiogenesis and its interaction leads to endothelial cell proliferation, migration, survival, and new blood vessel formation by the activation of phosphorylation cascade that triggers downstream cellular signaling pathways, including the phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase/protein kinase B (PI3K/AKT) and rapidly accelerated fibrosarcoma/mitogen-activated protein kinases (RAF/MAPK) pathways [4,8,9]. Here, AKT1 is linked to fibrosarcoma.
