Specifically, LIMA1 (IVW, 3 SNPs, p = 0.004), PEA15 (IVW, 5 SNPs, p = 0.04), TGFA (IVW, 5 SNPs, p = 0.04), TMEM158 (IVW, 18 SNPs, p = 0.004), CMTM6 (IVW, 2 SNPs, p = 0.01), PDP1 (IVW, 2 SNPs, p = 0.009), and FFAR4 (IVW, 2 SNPs, p = 0.01) were identified as risk factors for periodontitis, while VAC14 (IVW, 2 SNPs, p = 0.02) and ENHO (IVW, 2 SNPs, p = 0.03) were recognized as protective factors (Figure 4D).
