The treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), most prevalent adult leukemia, both initial and relapse management, consists of the continuous use of Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibitors (BTKis) or the time-limited use of a Bcl-2 inhibitor (venetoclax), either used alone or in combination with CD20+ monoclonal antibodies (mAb). Here, BTK is linked to B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
