The levels of hsCRP and VCAM-1 remained significantly higher in the OCAD and NOCAD groups than the control group, after controlling for potential covariates, consisting of age, gender, DBP, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, family history of CAD, smoking status, FBG, HbA1c, TC, triglyceride, and low density lipoprotein-cholesterol. Here, VCAM1 is linked to coronary artery disorder.
