Although mammalian studies have demonstrated the role of the NF-κB pathway in cancer cachexia-induced skeletal muscle wasting64, our study is the first to show that Ykiact-induced activation of NF-κB in tumors drives host wasting, including muscle dysfunction, ovary degeneration, and host survivability, through the regulation of cachectic factors. Here, NFKB1 is linked to female reproductive organ cancer.
