PLAUR and breast cancer: The availability of clinical-stage uPAR-imaging agents, which have proven successful for noninvasive positron emission tomography– or magnetic resonance imaging–based evaluation of prostate, bladder, and breast cancers (27, 65), may provide a reliable diagnostic companion for patient screening and therapeutic follow-up and lay the foundation for a precision medicine approach for PDAC and, plausibly other uPAR-positive cancer indications, with an unmet need.
