Her hormonal evaluation showed plasma aldosterone concentration (PAC) of 514 pmol/L (normal: 0–1200), with a suppressed renin < 1.8 mIU/L (5.3- 99 mIU/L) level, and a very high aldosterone renin ratio (ARR; the ARR was incalculable due to unmeasurably low renin; normal value: < 30 pmol/L per mIU/L) suggesting probable primary aldosteronism (PA). Here, REN is linked to primary aldosteronism.
