FTO not only plays a pivotal role in regulating metabolic rate, energy distribution, and lipid aggregation within the body, as well as facilitating stem cell differentiation(Pereira et al. 2021), but it is also intricately linked to the pathogenesis of cardiac and cerebrovascular diseases(Mathiyalagan et al. 2019), Alzheimer's disease(Han et al. 2020), schizophrenia(Morris et al. 2019; Pereira et al. 2021), and tumors (Yang et al. 2019; R et al. 2020). This evidence concerns the gene FTO and Alzheimer disease.
