Before matching, compared with azvudine recipients, Paxlovid recipients were more likely to be male; presented with more severe illness on admission; had fewer concomitant antibiotics and systemic steroids; had longer time from diagnosis to treatment; had fewer kidney diseases; had more liver diseases, cardio-cerebral diseases, and autoimmune diseases; had higher glomerular filtration rate and alkaline phosphatase levels; and had lower neutrophil, prothrombin time, cholesterol, albumin, and total bilirubin levels.
