The Das group from Massachusetts General Hospital and the Jovanovic‐Talisman group from the Beckman Research Institute of the City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center used quantitative single‐molecule localization microscopy (qSMLM) to demonstrate that cardiac troponin T (cTnT) present in extracellular vesicles has the potential to be a novel biomarker for human cardiovascular diseases (Lennon et al., 2022). This evidence concerns the gene TNNT2 and cardiovascular disorder.
