In this analysis, CD8+ T cells from this model of infection form seven different clusters (Fig 1D), which segregate broadly based on whether the CD8+ T cells are naïve to the virus (d0), at peak (d9), or at memory (d129) post-infection with d0 and d129 overlapping considerably and d9 showing distinct phenotypes (Fig 1D).
