The first published trial showed that once-weekly treatment with icodec had similar glucose-lowering efficacy and safety profile compared to once-daily glargine U100 in insulin-naive participants with T2D inadequately controlled (HbA1c level, 7.0 to 9.5%) while taking metformin with or without a dipeptidyl peptidase 4 inhibitor. This evidence concerns the gene INS and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
