RNF128 and colitis: Consistent with the observations in the DSS-treated Rnf128−/− mice, the Rnf128+/+ mice that received Rnf128−/− bone marrow (Rnf128−/− → Rnf128+/+) exhibited a more severe colitis phenotype than the Rnf128+/+ mice that received Rnf128+/+ bone marrow cells (Rnf128+/+→ Rnf128+/+) upon DSS treatment, along with greater body weight loss, shorter colon length, and worsened colonic inflammatory histopathology (Fig. 4B–F).
