ALB and cholestasis: Interestingly, patients with moderately elevated hepatic copper content and with vs. without cholestasis were only distinguishable by ceruloplasmin levels (absence of: 25 ± 5 vs. evidence of cholestasis: 33 ± 5; p < 0.001), as well as subclinical differences in creatinine, albumin levels and cholestasis parameters (Table 2).
