While several studies investigated the effects of Artemisia species on human colon cancer cells (Khlifi et al. 2013; Ali, Saeed, and Omear 2021; Jakovljević et al. 2023), our study uniquely focused on assessing the cytotoxic properties across a diverse range of colorectal cancer cells including the isogenic cell lines HCT116 and RKO, which are differentiated only by their p53 status. This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and colorectal cancer.
