Alterations in epigenetic regulators such as Enhancer of Zeste Homolog 2 (EZH2) and lysine-specific demethylase 1 (LSD1) have been implicated in downregulation of MHC I and loss of antigen presentation in SCLC[82-84], leading to decreased activation and recognition by the immune system. This evidence concerns the gene EZH2 and small cell lung carcinoma.
