Table 1 demonstrated that the average GAD-7and PHQ-9 scores were above the preselected cut-off value only in the PT group(5.2 ± 5.0, 5.5 ± 5.5) and CT group (5.5 ± 4.8, 5.2 ±4.8). The prevalence of anxiety and depression based on our diagnostic thresholdwas significantly higher in the TMD subgroups collectively than in the NT group(p < 0.01). Post hoc pair-wise comparisons indicated that thescores of the PT and CT groups were each significantly higher than that of the NTgroup (Table 1). Here, GAD1 is linked to depressive disorder.
