CancerSEEK (currently developed as CancerguardTM by Exact Sciences Corporation, Madison, Wisconsin, USA) is an MCED test developed by Vogelstein et al. at Johns Hopkins University [48] The test detects eight types of cancer (ovarian, liver, gastric, pancreatic, esophageal, colorectal, lung, and breast cancer) using eight protein markers (CA-125, CEA, CA19-9, Prolactin, HGF, Osteopontin, Myeloperoxidase, TIMP-1) and 16 cancer gene mutations (TP53, KRAS, etc.)in the blood.
