Furthermore, both migraine and obesity are chronic low-grade inflammatory and pro-thrombotic states, such as central sensitization caused by chronic serotonin deficiency, hyperleptinemia, and elev/ated plasma levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumour necrosis factor-a (TNF-a), CRP, P-molecule and calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) [53–58]. Here, IL6 is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
