Sporadic NF2 mutations have been implicated in several cancers, including sporadic meningioma, ependymoma, and schwannoma, mesothelioma, breast cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, prostate cancer, glioblastoma, thyroid cancer, melanoma, and renal cell carcinoma. The gene discussed is NF2; the disease is hereditary clear cell renal cell carcinoma.
