The genes encoding surface markers, such as Beta-1,4-Galactosyltransferase 1 (B4GALT1), Solute Carrier Family 2, Facilitated Glucose Transporter Member 1 (SLC2A1), and GTP-binding protein GEM (GEM), a protein involved in numerous physiological processes, i.e., the suppression of cytoskeletal rearrangements and the inhibition of activity of Voltage-Dependent Calcium Channels [105], were highly overexpressed in endometrial cancer-derived CAFs. This evidence concerns the gene SLC2A1 and endometrial cancer.
