Predominantly up-regulated human proteins in the T2D group were associated with immune system regulation and inflammation including immunoglobulins (IGHV3-64, IGHV1-69, IGHV3-43, IGLV3-19, IGHG3, IGKV4-1, IGLV1-51, IGLV2-8; Fig. 2B) complement components (C3, C5, CFH, CFB) as well as acute-phase proteins (APCS, A2M, CP). The gene discussed is IGKV4-1; the disease is type 2 diabetes mellitus.
