Melhorn et al. [27] using a recessive model (TT+ AT versus AA) in a sample that was enriched with individuals with obesity, and Magno et al. [24], studying women with BMI between 40 and 60 kg/m2, found that the double risk allele (AA) was associated with a greater drop in postprandial ghrelin relative to the other groups. The gene discussed is GHRL; the disease is obesity disorder.
