In a standard analysis including the entire follow‐up time, the hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) compared to normal BMI decreased from 1.12 (1.05‐1.20) to 1.09 (1.02‐1.17) for overweight and from 1.24 (1.15‐1.34) to 1.17 (1.08‐1.26) for obesity, after adjustment for the natural logarithm (ln) of CRP levels at baseline (mg/L). Here, CRP is linked to obesity disorder.
