The imbalance of the proangiogenic vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), erythropoietin (EPO), platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), and insulin-like growth factor 2 (IGF2) could contribute to the structural and functional abnormalities in blood vessels, which may lead to early AV shunting in cerebral neoplasms [15]. Here, IGF2 is linked to neoplasm of cerebral hemisphere.
