Our previous study also reported that METTL3/methyltransferase‐like 14 (METTL14) can promote the translation of forkhead box protein O1 (FOXO1) mRNA through RNA methylation, thereby upregulating its expression, activating the transcription of intercellular adhesion molecule 1 (ICAM‐1) and vascular cell adhesion molecule 1 (VCAM‐1) and promoting vascular endothelial inflammation and the formation of atherosclerosis [13]. This evidence concerns the gene FOXO1 and atherosclerosis.
