Since ALKBH5 has been reported to act as an eraser of m6A, the most common modification found in eukaryotic RNAs, and to affect the stability of m6A-modified transcripts [36,37], we sought to identify its downstream effectors mediated by the PRMT5 inhibitor GSK3326595 in CRC cells using MeRIP (m6A) sequencing and RIP sequencing (Fig. 5A). This evidence concerns the gene PRMT5 and colorectal carcinoma.
