Given its improved transcriptome-wide specificity compared to its native form and RfxCas13d-N2V7, we next determined the ability of RfxCas13d-N2V8 to target V3 in a more physiologically relevant cell line: iPSC-derived motor neuron-like cells from a 64-year-old female ALS patient with >145 copies of the G4C2 repeat in the C9ORF72 gene. Here, C9orf72 is linked to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
