Moreover, given the role of MCPH1 in genomic instability and its role as a tumour suppressor gene, and the potential association between TTK and MCPH1 protein expression, our pilot study suggests that the group with low MCPH1 expression and high TTK expression might benefit from treatment with a synthetic lethal approach to develop novel treatments for MCPH1‐deficient BC patients [33].
