Currently, there are two nanoformulations approved for lung cancer treatment: (i) Genexol-PM, polymeric micelles encapsulating paclitaxel, approved for the treatment of NSCLC and breast cancer in Korea, and (ii) Abraxane®, albumin nanoparticles containing paclitaxel approved by FDA and EMA for the treatment of advanced NSCLC and metastatic breast and pancreatic carcinomas. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and exocrine pancreatic carcinoma.
