Currently, there are two nanoformulations approved for lung cancer treatment: (i) Genexol-PM, polymeric micelles encapsulating paclitaxel, approved for the treatment of NSCLC and breast cancer in Korea, and (ii) Abraxane®, albumin nanoparticles containing paclitaxel approved by FDA and EMA for the treatment of advanced NSCLC and metastatic breast and pancreatic carcinomas.
