Another study from Asia, a retrospective cohort study [30] investigating the risk factors associated with the development of CRC in patients with MLH1 and MSH2 germline mutations, observed an association only among MSH2 carriers (MLH1 carriers—HR: 0.73; 95% CI: 0.45–1.16; p = 0.185), who had a twofold increase in CRC risk with alcohol consumption (HR: 2.33; 95% CI: 1.04–5.21; p = 0.038) [30]. This evidence concerns the gene MSH2 and colorectal carcinoma.
