Due to the critical role of NF-κB in cancer signaling and the well-established role of curcumin in NF-κB modulation, we first evaluated the expression of the inflammation mediator NF-κB and found that daily curcumin intake led to the inhibition of NF-κB levels by about 42% detected by Western blot analysis (Figure 4A; p < 0.05).
