The Her2-Akt signaling pathway is suppressed by curcumin (18 μmol/L), resulting in the inhibition of cell proliferation in the human breast cancer cell line. Furthermore, the low-dose (1.5 μmol/L) combination of curcumin and lapatinib resulted in a more potentiated inhibitory effect on the Her2-Akt signaling pathway and the inhibition of cancer cell growth. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and breast cancer.
