As bimodal PET/FI probes have great potential in improving the surgical outcomes of patients affected by MTC, we initially developed [68Ga]Ga-Sulfo-Cy7-FSC-MG, the first example of a CCK2R-targeting dual-modality imaging agent, which showed encouraging results in terms of receptor affinity, tumour accumulation, and tumour retention [20]. The gene discussed is CCKBR; the disease is medullary thyroid gland carcinoma.
