An in vivo study by Jrah-Harzallah et al. [32] evaluated TQ’s effects on DMH-induced oxidative stress during colon carcinogenesis in male Wistar rats; TQ (5 mg/kg) significantly inhibited tumor development, reduced oxidative stress markers [ROS, malondialdehyde (MDA), and conjugated dienes], and restored antioxidant enzyme levels [glutathione peroxidase (GPx), catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and reduced GSH]. This evidence concerns the gene CAT and neoplasm.
