In an analysis of the GISSI-HF trial, tubular injury in patients with stable chronic HF—which was assessed using urinary markers of tubular damage, such as N-acetyl-beta-D-glucosaminidase (NAG), kidney injury molecule 1 (KIM-1), and neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL)—was associated with all-cause mortality and HF hospitalization. Here, HAVCR1 is linked to hydrops fetalis.
