CRP and Increased total leukocyte count: Laboratory tests showed leukocytosis (17,300/μL) with neutrophilia (15,250/μL), and marked indications of inflammatory syndrome (CRP 244 mg/L, procalcitonin 7 ng/mL, ESR 70 mm/h, LDH 630 U/L, fibrinogen 961 mg/dL) with no hypoxemia on arterial blood gas analysis.
