PLA2R1 and membranous glomerulonephritis: Many common autoantibodies associate with specific glomerular diseases, including anti-PLA2R (phospholipase A2 receptor) antibodies (membranous nephropathy) [1], ANA (antinuclear antibodies) (lupus nephritis) [2], c-ANCA (cytoplasmic-anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies) (granulomatosis with polyangiitis = c-ANCA vasculitis) [3], and p-ANCA (perinuclear–cytoplasmic anti-neutrophil antibodies) (microscopic vasculitis = p-ANCA vasculitis) [4].
