This is highlighted in a study comparing the use of vedolizumab against anti-TNFα medication, where it was noted that patients with CD treated with vedolizumab were more likely to develop episcleritis or scleritis (incidence rate ratio 2.51, 95% CI, 1.02–6.14) and uveitis (incidence rate ratio, 2.89; 95% CI, 1.35–6.18) when compared with those taking anti-TNFα medication [86].
