Methods: The aim of this experimental study was to investigate the serum amyloid P (SAP) components, nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB), interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β), caspase 1 (Casp 1), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and complement 3 (C3) gene expressions on the 10th, 20th and 30th days after infection with T. gondii in the neuroimmunopathogenesis of toxoplasmic encephalitis (TE) in mouse brains by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction. This evidence concerns the gene IL1B and infection.
