Among the many causes responsible for the pathological manifestation of PD, we have focused our study to examine the effect of the simultaneous occurrence of a specific combination of mutations, A53T, A30P, and E46K in a-Syn, and its effect in the interaction of Syn-1 with mutated a-Syn leading to the formation of Lewy Bodies (LB)—an important cause of PD. This evidence concerns the gene SYN1 and Parkinson disease.
