Considering inflammatory/autoimmune diseases, serum CXCL13 concentrations have been found to be elevated in Sjogren’s syndrome [68,69] and in systemic lupus erythematosus with disease activity [70,71], and CSF CXCL13 levels have been proposed as potentially useful biomarkers of treatment response and outcome in autoimmune encephalitis [72,73]. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL13 and autoimmune disease.
